Job summary

CoolSys, a leading HVAC and refrigeration solutions provider, is seeking a qualified HVAC and Refrigeration Technician to join our team. You will work on CO2 systems, read schematics, perform service calls, and support installations across multiple sites. EPA certification required; 3+ years of field experience; must hold a valid driver's license and be able to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Active EPA Certification is required for this role.
• CO2 Rack experience and transcritical systems knowledge is essential.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Able to read electrical schematics and refrigeration diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Strong supermarket rack refrigeration experience.
• CO2/R744 system knowledge and transcritical experience.
• Perform leak detection, recovery, evacuation, charging, and startups.
• Diagnose compressor, refrigerant, oil, electrical, and control failures.
• Read electrical schematics and refrigeration diagrams.
• Work independently and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Strong supermarket rack refrigeration experience
• CO2/R744 system experience, including transcritical systems
• EPA Universal Certification - Required
• Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Danfoss, Emerson/CPC, VFDs, and refrigeration controls
• Ability to diagnose compressor, refrigerant, oil system, electrical, and control failures
• Ability to perform leak detection, recovery, evacuation, charging, and system startups
• Ability to read electrical schematics and refrigeration diagrams
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to work independently and participate in an on-call rotation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience as an HVAC and Refrigeration Technician
• Active EPA Certification
• Valid driver's license
• CO2 Rack Experience
• Military Base Background Clearance required
• Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to safely lift to 50 lbs., climb and balance on a ladder, and work in elevated/high locations.
