Job summary

AFCO Performance Group is seeking a hands-on team member to assist in building and tuning racing shock absorbers to exacting standards at our Indiana facility.

You’ll operate test equipment like a shock dynamometer, maintain a clean work area, and contribute ideas to improve efficiency and quality while respecting confidential company information. A passion for excellence and teamwork will help you thrive here.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate/read measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
• Must stand and work with hands continually on shock internals.
• Must acknowledge confidentiality of AFCO trade secrets.
• Understanding of data acquisition and data analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and tuning racing shock absorbers to high quality standards and closest tolerances.
• Operate test equipment, such as a shock dynamometer, to verify performance.
• Maintain a clean work environment including tools and test equipment, both between jobs and at the end of the day.
• Follow current processes and procedures but discuss other ideas for improved efficiency and/or quality.
• Assist in shock building, track testing, durability testing and documenting test result data, including test failures for prototypes and production parts.
