Job summary

Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Shop Mechanic & Tear Down Tech to install or repair mechanical systems on race cars, including brakes, suspension, driveline, steering and cooling systems. You will disassemble components, clean parts, and prepare subassemblies for reinstallation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two plus years of mechanical experience required.
• Ability to travel if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with install, repair, and/or replace and disassemble suspension components or springs.
• Assist with disassemble, inspect and take samples from components for review and inspection.
• Assist with install, repair, overhaul, adjust, and disassemble brake systems.
• Assist with install, inspect, and disassemble fuel cells and fuel lines.
• Assist with attaching all components and install engines as required.
• Post-race removal, document and disassemble.
• Assist with install of exhaust systems, including headers and tail pipes.
• Assist with install, repair, and later disassemble air ducts, cooling systems, and interior.
