Job summary

Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte, NC is seeking an entry-level to mid-level Race Car Setup Mechanic. You will assist in preparation and installation of race car setup to track specs, verify wheel alignment to NASCAR gauges, and input setup data into the database.

Learn to use Romer Arm for measurements, work under experienced set-up mechanics, and support shop crew. Must own basic mechanical tools, fabrication skills preferred, 5+ years experience desired.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in race car setup is desired.
• Entry level knowledge with basic understanding of race car components.
• Must be somewhat skilled mechanically and able to use personal tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and installation of race car setup to track specifications.
• Assist in verifying wheel location and offsets to NASCAR gauges.
• Assist in finalizing and verifying the race setup of the vehicle.
• Input setup information into the database and learn Romer Arm usage.
• Receive direction from experienced set-up mechanics and assist shop crew.
