Job summary

Life Enriching Communities is seeking a Resident Aide at our Wesley Glen campus in Columbus, OH. The role involves assisting residents with daily activities, providing compassionate care, and ensuring safety and dignity throughout shifts on a 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM schedule.

The facility emphasizes respect, teamwork, and high-quality resident experiences. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a background in customer service or healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in a continuing care retirement community or hospital setting preferred
• Strong background in customer service and interpersonal communication
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility/ambulation)
• Answering resident call lights promptly and courteously
• Promoting resident dignity, individuality, and rights while encouraging independence
• Participating in shift reports and maintaining up-to-date resident records
• Supporting meal service by managing menu choice tickets and helping serve meals
• Laundering personal items for residents
• Assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges as directed
• Following infection control and safety procedures diligently
• Collaborating with nursing staff and contributing to a calm, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
