Job summary

VERSANT Media in Orlando, FL seeks a Manager of Central Accounting - Record to Report (R2R) to lead day-to-day centralized accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany, and fixed assets. You will drive governance, close execution, and risk management in collaboration with Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and external providers.

The role requires 4+ years in corporate accounting, strong US GAAP knowledge, and prior supervision of teams, including outsourced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 4+ years in corporate accounting, controllership, shared services, or Record to Report operations.
• Experience leading month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany activity, P&E, payroll, travel & expenses, and audit support.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX, internal controls, and accounting operations best practices.
• 3+ years supervising staff or outsourced/shared-service accounting teams.
• Experience with SAP and BlackLine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily and monthly centralized R2R activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage month-, quarter-, and year-end close calendars; resolve issues and escalate risks.
• Review and approve entries and supporting documentation for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Coordinate with Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Financial Systems, and controllership teams on dependencies and issues.
• Prepare recurring reporting packages, P&L and balance-sheet analysis, audit schedules.
• Maintain R2R master data and address data defects and control risks.
• Supervise analysts and outsourced R2R resources; manage SLAs and KPIs.
• Foster accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
