Park Ridge Living Center, part of Rochester Regional Health, seeks an experienced nurse supervisor for the Long-Term Care unit in Rochester, NY. The role supports the nurse manager and provides clinical guidance to RN/LPN/CNA staff while ensuring quality patient care on the Wegman Family Cottages or rehab unit.

The position offers evening/night shifts, weekend rotation, tuition and student loan assistance, shift differentials, overtime, and full benefits. RN licensure in NYS and BLS are required.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program.
• 1–3 years nursing experience.
• Registered NYS RN; BLS certification required.

• Assists in problem solving to alleviate clinical issues and processes on the unit.
• Acts as clinical resource person with nurse manager, staff and provider to plan patient care.
• Coordinates with Nursing Staff and admissions to ensure rapid admissions and evaluations.
• Supervises MD/RD activities and maintains safe mealtime and proper records.
• Participates in Nursing dept. QA program and audits.

Act as the clinical resource person, working as a team with the nurse manager, staff and the provider to identify the plan of care for each patient. Supports nurse manager in developing work plans that enable the unit to reach financial/quality/safety/operational targets. Fine motor skills are necessary for computer work, writing, and telephone use, supported by clear visual and auditory ability. Cognitive and emotional demands are high due to extended concentration, frequent interruptions, independent decision-making, and information processing. Although physical exposure is low, administrative areas within healthcare environments may occasionally involve contact with infectious agents.
