Aurora is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to support first article products for the hardware engineering team. The role requires certification welding and hands-on fabrication in a fast-paced shop environment in Philadelphia.

You will work closely with Hardware Engineering, maintain documentation, and ensure safety and quality while meeting project timelines. Hybrid in-office requirements apply; competitive pay and potential bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct welding experience within an R&D or rapid prototyping environment.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical layouts and weld symbols.
• Experience programming and running fabrication equipment (WaterJets, Laser Cutters, Press Brakes, Plasma, Powder Coating).
• Hands-on with instrumentation and precision measurement tools.
• Perform quality control inspections on welds to verify integrity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an R&D Technician supporting Aurora’s autonomous technology.
• Collaborate with Hardware Engineering and cross-departmental teams.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to safety protocols while hitting timelines.
• Operate with minimal supervision and uphold core values.
• Help optimize shop operations and assist other shop units as needed.
