Job summary

MSD in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a Training & Onboarding Specialist for the Research & Development department. You will develop laboratory-based training plans for new hires and existing staff, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles through structured curricula.

The role requires coordinating with R&D trainers, reviewing curricula with EHS and Quality, and maintaining comprehensive training records and reports for management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or relevant work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of training management experience.
• Experience working in a laboratory setting.
• BSL-2 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding and training plans for new hires.
• Schedule training tasks and coordinate with R&D trainers.
• Update training curricula as department priorities change.
• Ensure curricula consistency across departments and with EHS/Quality teams.
• Maintain training records and generate weekly training reports.
• Conduct training sessions and assist employees through the training process.
