Job summary

DuPont is seeking an early-career R&D Technologist at the Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware, to contribute to customer-focused application and product development projects in water purification and industrial separation. You will work with scientists and engineers to develop solutions that conserve resources and support next-generation technologies.

Training in core ion exchange resin and membrane technologies will be provided.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience in an industrial setting, including internship or co-op experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work on concurrent projects.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, and execute laboratory experiments to develop and evaluate new products and applications.
• Apply ion exchange resin and membrane technologies to solve processing, purification, and separation challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of scientists, engineers, and technical experts to achieve project objectives.
• Analyze experimental data and communicate results, conclusions, and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders.
• Document experimental work, technical findings, and project updates through reports and presentations.
• Support the operation and management of laboratory equipment, including maintenance, troubleshooting, safety practices, and procedural documentation.
• Contribute to a safe, collaborative, and innovative laboratory environment.
