Job summary

DuPont Water Solutions is seeking a Senior Scientist - Applications R&D to join our team at the DuPont Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware. In this customer-facing role, you will serve as a scientific expert, helping customers adopt and apply DuPont technologies in bioprocessing markets.

You will collaborate with R&D, Technical Service, Marketing and Commercial teams to develop solutions, advance new applications, and support business growth.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field, or expected completion within three months.
• Up to four years of relevant industry experience, internships, or postdoctoral work.
• Hands-on LC/HPLC or similar separation/purification techniques.
• Familiarity with life sciences and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving, design, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer-facing technical expert supporting DuPont's ion exchange and separation technologies.
• Partner with customers to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and develop value-delivering solutions.
• Design and execute lab studies to solve purification challenges and validate applications.
• Lead and contribute to application development projects in bioprocessing and growth areas.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to advance technologies and support commercial opportunities.
• Develop technical content and training materials and deliver presentations and workshops.
