Job summary

Singularity Defense Corp in Gardena, CA is seeking an experienced R&D technician to lead prototyping, machining, assembly, testing, and fabrication of next-generation military equipment in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with engineering, specify and source equipment, document procedures, and mentor a team of technicians while upholding aerospace-grade quality and safety standards. Some travel may be required to support off-site testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a high-performance manufacturing or R&D environment with fabrication, machining, welding, and test experience.
• Deep understanding of aerospace-grade production/quality standards and enforcing them.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving with hands-on approach to technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and leadership to coordinate a high-performing team.
• Experience developing complex systems from scratch and manufacturing processes.
• Background in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and manufacturing planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate prototypes, build and operate systems while adhering to specs and safety.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve designs via rapid iteration.
• Autonomously spec, source, and commission equipment; report status.
• Support critical system testing and validation, travel may be required.
• Lead, mentor, and develop technicians; document best practices.
• Identify and resolve challenges; drive continuous improvement.
