Job summary

Primary Function

Supports the product development of nutritional liquid and powder products.

Major Responsibilities

• Manufacturing product in research manufacturing facilities (request manufacturing line time, complete manufacturing instructions, request and weigh ingredients, assemble batches for processing and fill into containers).
• Coordinate analytical testing of product (prepare testing protocols, compile test results and build data tables, perform unit conversions).
• Conduct qualitative product evaluations.
• General product management (organize lab, coordinate research ingredients, enter formulations into development systems, complete manufacturing run summaries).

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field (a Masters or PhD is overqualified for this entry level position). An internship or equivalent experience at a food company is preferred.
