Job summary

Manpower in Cokato, MN is seeking an R&D Technician I to join a collaborative engineering team. You will perform laboratory testing of electrical products, document results, and support new product development and manufacturing.

The role offers hands-on learning across engineering, quality, and production, with opportunities to contribute to documentation, BOMs, drawings, and cross-functional projects while working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a technical degree in Electrical Technology, Electronics, or Mechatronics, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 4+ years in manufacturing, product development, testing, or engineering support.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent technical writing and communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing of electrical products and maintain accurate testing records.
• Collect, analyze, and document test results to ensure products meet performance and reliability standards.
• Assist with new product development through testing, design input, and technical documentation.
• Support manufacturing by helping resolve technical issues and assisting with product improvements.
• Review and update engineering documentation, including BOMs, work instructions, and inspection procedures.
• Assist with technical document control and product manuals.
• Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
• Support quality initiatives by maintaining quality logs and inspection documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Customer Service teams on development and improvement projects.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and cross-functional project teams.
