Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking an R&D Senior Associate to support its Tax Credits & Incentives Advisory practice. This role offers hybrid work from any US office or remote work within the United States, focusing on R&D tax credit studies and related advisory services.

The candidate will review technical documentation, conduct interviews, draft narratives, and build costing models to quantify credits and capitalization.

Qualifications

• Experience with IRC Section 41 research credits for clients.
• Background in software development, consulting, or engineering preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interviews and narratives.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax consulting on Research and Development Tax Credit and IRC 174 capitalization rules.
• Perform technical interviews to document qualifying research activities.
• Draft project narratives and document findings for Section 41 compliance.
• Scope RC credits, conduct studies, and interact with clients across industries.
• Develop costing models and integrate employer time-tracking data into projects.
