Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a highly experienced R&D Systems Engineer to conduct surveillance on the Multiapplication Transportation Attachment Device (MTAD) as part of the Integrated Surety Architectures program.

The role involves assessing MTAD mission performance, supporting data-driven decisions, and ensuring continued fielding while interfacing with stockpile and transportation systems like the Safeguards Transporter.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and engineering or scientific experience.
• Active DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze MTAD performance and contribute to the annual state of health report.
• Analyze trailer state changes and support the mission data working group.
• Investigate and coordinate testing related to MTAD and over-the-road anomalies.
• Support interactions with Hub, Pantex, and stockpile system engineers on MTAD nonconformances and reacceptances.
• Support MTAD Production Agency Transition activities with KCNSC.
• Develop and coordinate testing for ISA modules as part of annual SGT surveillance testing.
• Connect requirements, configurations, and observations to improve traceability and defensible engineering decisions.
• Mature the ISA data management plan and produce technical documentation for leadership and stakeholders.
