Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an experienced R&D Systems Engineer to lead ISA integration for the Mobile Guardian Transporter (MGT) program. This onsite role requires coordinating across Centers, NA-12/NA-15 customers, and ISA hardware changes while managing reliability allocations and up‑stream Safeguards Transporter reuse.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus five or more years of experience or equivalent combination.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate all aspects of the MGT system to identify integration impacts and requirements.
• Lead and coordinate all ISA integration activities within the MGT program, including design integration, qualification, and acceptance testing.
• Develop and maintain ISA-MGT integration schedules and track tasking and deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Serve as the primary ISA interface with management, laboratory chief engineers, the MGT team, weapon system teams, and customer organizations such as NA-12 and NA-15.
• Proactively advocate for ISA integration objectives and negotiate deliverables.
