Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a motivated R&D Systems Engineer to perform all-source technical analysis of evolving nuclear weapon threats. You will interact with the national security community to develop deep understandings of capabilities and produce technical assessments across Sandia's broad technology base.

On any day you may collaborate with colleagues, produce assessments for senior officials, and work with experts across Sandia to address urgent needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience or equivalent.
• Active DOE Q or DOD TS clearance is required to start, plus the ability to obtain and maintain SCI with polygraph if required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues to understand and assess all-source intelligence.
• Produce written assessments for senior government officials on national security issues.
• Partner with subject matter experts across Sandia's capabilities to address urgent needs.
• Collaborate with technical teams to define future analysis opportunities.
• Interface with multiple government customers and inform decision makers with threat assessments.
