Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a highly motivated R&D Systems Engineer to join the W76-1 Joint Test Assembly team. You will contribute to requirements definition, testing, and qualification of a new instrumented JTA flight test body for the W76-1 weapon systems.

You will collaborate with internal Sandia teams and external partners on complex engineering challenges, guiding requirements traceability and interface definitions while ensuring manufacturability and testability throughout the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 5 years of directly relevant experience or equivalent.
• Active DOE Q Clearance or equivalent is required to start.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and translate complex requirements into clear specifications.
• Develop and maintain requirement traceability matrices throughout the project.
• Lead requirement reviews with cross-functional teams to align with customer intent.
• Define interfaces and plans with design/production to ensure manufacturability and testability.
• Craft robust test plans and validation strategies for qualification and delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in requirements gathering and management processes.
