Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks engineers for the W87-1 System Test Team to advance environments, system tests, and qualification of modernization weapons systems. You will work with multidisciplinary groups to ensure safety and security, and engage with NSE partners to deliver robust tests.

The role emphasizes collaboration across sites, development of environment specifications, and integration of weapon components throughout the test lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Active DOE Q security clearance to start.
• Graduate degree with independent research project is desirable.
• Experience in engineering design, qualification, or modeling projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute electrical and mechanical system tests across the lifecycle.
• Own Environment Specification documents and coordinate with ModSim and design teams.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across NSE to resolve challenges.
• Partner with components, test facilities, and experts for test integration.
• Integrate WR/JTA/Trainer components at system level during development.
• Engage with NNSA and Design Agency Labs to meet requirements.
• Drive system excellence and continuous improvement.
