Bangs Laboratories, Inc. in Fishers, IN is seeking a results-driven scientist to lead development of in‑house products from concept to launch. You will manage cross‑functional projects, develop test methods, oversee production steps, and ensure ISO‑compliant documentation and quality.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or related field; PhD with 3+ years or MS with 5+ years preferred. Industrial R&D experience and leadership are highly valued.

Qualifications

• This position requires a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, bioengineering, or related field.
• PhD with 3+ years, MS with 5 years, or BA with 10 years relevant experience considered.
• Experience with polymers, polymer synthesis, micro/nanoparticle formulation, magnetic particles, or related colloidal systems preferred.
• Leadership and ability to manage product development projects in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage product development projects, directing the work of Scientists as appropriate.
• Produce custom products as requested and develop test methods.
• Produce in-house products following ISO procedures and perform preliminary QC testing.
• Write/update ISO documents and ensure quality of finished goods.
• Attend conferences or visit customers with sales staff as needed.
• Train personnel on laboratory procedures and support technical service.
