Job summary

The Campbell’s Company in Camden, NJ is seeking an R&D Scientist I to drive product development from concept through commercialization across Thermal/Frozen Soup & Broth, Italian and Everyday Pantry lines. The role requires hands-on expertise in processing technologies, new ingredients, and consumer testing within a cross-functional team.

You will partner with Marketing, CCID, Supply Chain, Quality, Packaging, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations to advance projects and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Food Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of food product development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage technical timelines and activities for multiple product development projects.
• Lead product development projects from concept to commercialization based on product design criteria and consumer insights.
• Define ingredient handling and blending equipment requirements and set up production trials.
• Lead trials in pilot plant and manufacturing locations to define finished product specifications meeting consumer expectations.
• Establish and maintain shelf-life studies and lead benchmarking studies.
