Job summary

Syngenta in New York is seeking an R&D Scientist 1 to lead field research trials focusing on crop protection across a diverse range of crops. The role involves designing and overseeing efficacy trials and collecting high-quality data to support product development and label expansion.

The candidate will analyze results, provide technical recommendations, and collaborate with universities, CROs, and growers to deliver impactful research and strengthen industry partnerships.

Qualifications

• MS degree in Weed Science, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Nematology, or related Agricultural Science field required; Ph.D. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage field research trials focused on crop protection across multiple crops.
• Design, implement, and oversee efficacy trials with high-quality data collection to support product development.
• Analyze research results and provide technical recommendations to drive product advancement and new applications.
• Collaborate with universities, extension partners, and CROs to deliver impactful research and strengthen partnerships.
• Provide technical expertise through training, demonstrations, and scientific documentation to support product positioning and regulatory labeling initiatives.
