Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection in Tifton, GA seeks an R&D Scientist 1 to lead field research trials advancing crop protection products across insects, weeds, and diseases. This role designs and manages efficacy studies, analyzes data, and provides technical recommendations to support product development and label expansion.

Qualifications

• MS degree as required; PhD preferred.
• 5 years of relevant experience with MS or 3 years with PhD in agricultural research.
• Experience conducting field efficacy trials evaluating insect, weed, disease control products and biologicals.
• Strong knowledge of agronomy, crop production systems, and research methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with agricultural equipment and field operations.
• Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage field research trials focused on crop protection across crops.
• Design, implement, and oversee efficacy trials with high-quality data collection.
• Analyze results and provide technical recommendations to advance products and label expansion.
• Collaborate with universities, extension partners, and CROs to strengthen partnerships.
• Provide technical expertise through training, demonstrations, and documentation.
