Job summary

Formlabs in Somerville, MA is seeking an experienced R&D Reliability/Test Engineer to help ensure our hardware products are robust from design through manufacture. You will develop validation plans, run tests, and build automated rigs for subsystem and component testing.

You will analyze field failures, perform RCA, and collaborate with design teams to drive reliability improvements early in development. Proficiency in Python, Linux, and data analysis is valued, as is the ability to translate

Qualifications

• Experience with validating complex electromechanical systems.
• Ability to develop and execute system test plans.
• Experience with data-driven problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and manage system, subsystem, and component validation test plans.
• Perform hands-on RCA of electromechanical subsystems and field failures using physics of failure.
• Design, build, and implement automated testing equipment for subsystem characterization and reliability testing.
• Collaborate with R&D design teams to perform risk assessments and influence design reviews for reliability.
• Analyze field failure data to identify trends and develop CAPAs.
