Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. in Irvine, California is seeking an R&D Staff Scientist to drive the development and support of innovative quality control products. You will mentor Research Associates and partner with Project Management, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Regulatory teams to deliver QC products to market.

You will lead design verification/validation, communicate findings to leadership, and ensure design controls and regulatory readiness in a dynamic product development environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7–10 years of industry experience in designing, executing, and launching clinical diagnostic products.
• PhD in a related field is a plus and helpful for advanced research responsibilities.
• Strong ability to write protocols, reports, and SOPs and present to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Design and verify experiments; drive validation plans within budget.
• Influence critical design decisions using verification data and results.
• Coordinate failure analysis and test tool development for diagnostics.
• Communicate progress with leadership and project management.
