Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories in Irvine, CA is seeking an R&D Senior Scientist to drive development of innovative quality control products, with emphasis on VIROTROL QC for infectious disease. This role interfaces with cross-functional teams and requires strong design control and lifecycle management experience.

The successful candidate will lead experiments, validate designs, and mentor junior staff while ensuring GMP/QSR compliance and on-time delivery in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or closely related discipline preferred.
• Eight (8) years' industry experience in FDA-regulated environment (IVD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive, develop, and support QC product development through design control and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Scientists, Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs and other groups.
• Lead by example, mentor others, and communicate progress to leadership.
