Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences Irvine is seeking a Senior Technician for R&D/QA to support engineering activities, build prototypes, run tests, and document results. You will work with engineers, manage lab supplies, and ensure GDP and safety compliance in a fast-paced medical device environment.

Required: Associate's degree or equivalent with 2 years in R&D lab or 4 years related experience. Strong communication and problem solving skills, and proficiency with MS Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent in or technical degree/certificate with 2 years previous experience in R&D Lab and/or medical device experience required or
• 4 years related experience required

Responsibilities

• Support a wider range of engineering activities such as test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly under minimal supervision of Engineers
• Build more complex prototypes, sub-assemblies, and prepare feasibility test units, samples, and/or chemical solutions
• Perform operational test and identify failure modes on systems and equipment; collect and document test data
• Order and maintain lab supplies and equipment
• Align with management on duties and priorities
