Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a technically skilled Lab Technician for a six-month contingent assignment in our R&D QA Engineering team. The role focuses on hands-on laboratory testing to support validation and improvement of equipment and processes.

You will collaborate with Engineers and Technicians to execute feasibility studies, prepare reports, and ensure documentation is properly managed in systems (JDE, QMS, PLM). Onsite work is required in our Irvine, CA facility.

Qualifications

• Hands-on laboratory testing and equipment operation required.
• Experience with medical device inspection or QA/QC preferred.
• Able to interpret testing procedures and follow protocols.
• Onsite work every scheduled workday in an R&D lab.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Engineers, Technicians, and Assemblers on experiments and/or production runs. Support related to equipment investigations, testing, objective evidence of product dispositions and rework support work necessary.
• Review documentation and take appropriate actions to ensure information is properly catalogued and followed through to validation/qualification of equipment.
• Utilize manufacturing software (e.g., JDE, QMS, PLM) to update documentation in systems.
• Follow through with development of training and documentation materials in collaboration with Engineering.
• May lead projects related to new equipment validation and testing, etc.
• Identify potential improvements to optimize processes/equipment and propose solutions.
• Provide coaching and guidance to technicians.
