Job summary

Benoit in Houma, LA is seeking an R&D Technician to manufacture, inspect, document, and support prototype testing within the Technology Department. You will focus on machining, inspection, and testing, while learning and applying advanced prototyping methods and tool setups.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work in the United States without sponsorship. A collaborative environment and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of related experience in machining, inspection, prototyping, or testing.

Responsibilities

• Machining prototype and R&D work, offline and in-machine programming using Mazatrol or G-code.
• Set up equipment and perform prototype inspections per procedures.
• Conduct tests to validate prototype performance with tensile, hardness, torque testers, etc.
• Document machine programs, setups, and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with Technology to process work orders and required steps.
