Working closely with R&D, product management, and production, you bring your procurement expertise into the development process early on and make a significant contribution to transferring innovative drone systems into series production efficiently and successfully. At the same time, you are responsible for project procurement for new products and actively support the further development of our supplier base in a high-tech environment.

Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for project procurement in development projects, from the concept phase through to series transfer (NPI / NPD).

  • Early involvement in R&D and engineering projects to define procurement strategies, supplier structures, and cost models.

  • Managing procurement for prototypes, pre-series, and production ramp-ups (NPI/NPD).

  • Selecting, qualifying, and developing strategic suppliers and technology partners in the areas of electronics, mechanics, and system components.

  • Conducting cost analyses, target costing, make-or-buy evaluations, and design-to-cost initiatives in close collaboration with technical teams.

  • Ensuring cost, schedule, and quality targets within development programs.

  • Carrying out supplier evaluations, risk analyses, and supplier development measures in accordance with relevant aerospace and quality standards (e.g. EN9100).

  • Supporting first article inspections/sampling, industrialization, and series transfer of new products.

  • Managing escalations, supplier risks, and technical clarifications in close coordination with engineering, quality, and program management.

  • Conducting market analyses and identifying new technologies, suppliers, and manufacturing capacities.

Qualifications
  • A completed degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, supply chain management, or a comparable qualification.

  • Several years of experience in project procurement, technical procurement, or R&D procurement, ideally in an aerospace, defense, or high-tech environment.

  • Experience working with engineering teams and development programs, as well as in managing technical suppliers.

  • Understanding of product development processes, industrialization, and transfer to series production.

  • Experience dealing with quality standards and regulatory requirements in a technological environment (e.g. EN9100).

  • An analytical and structured way of working, along with a strong ability to coordinate complex technical procurement projects.
