Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Bland, Virginia, is seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager to lead innovative projects advancing dry-type transformer technologies. You will own projects from concept through implementation, coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, customers, and academic partners to deliver high-performance, sustainable solutions that support the energy transition.

Qualifications

Experience leading technical or product development projects using established PM methodologies and tools.
Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in English with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

Lead R&D projects for dry-type transformer technologies from concept through implementation.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, customers, and academic partners.
Develop and maintain project communication plans and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Manage project scope, schedules, risks, and change requests to achieve outcomes.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and universities.
Support implementation of developed technologies in factories and customer delivery projects.
