Job summary

10x Genomics in Pleasanton seeks a Program Manager to join the R&D team, driving cross-functional programs that deliver new instruments and consumables. You’ll coordinate with biologists, chemists, engineers, computational biologists, and software engineers to align scope, schedule, and budgets with scientific and business goals.

You will lead day-to-day program activities, partner with technical leads to prioritize work, manage risks and resources, and communicate progress to all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading new product or technology development programs in life sciences
• 2+ years as the lead program manager on a cross-functional program
• Experience managing programs from early exploratory research to late-stage development, with ambiguity early and rigor later

Responsibilities

• Serve as Program Manager on 10x R&D teams, leading cross-functional groups to define scope, schedule, and budget
• Partner with technical leads to manage priorities, risks, resources, and timelines
• Drive day-to-day program work and resolve issues using modern PM tools
• Lead program communications and phase reviews for diverse audiences
• Leverage advanced AI tools to accelerate planning and establish best practices for AI-assisted PM
• Assess and improve PM workflows and communication processes
• Note: this is not an IT or software PM position
