Job summary

10x Genomics in Pleasanton is seeking an exceptional Program Manager to join the 10X R&D team, coordinating cross-functional groups of biologists, chemists, engineers, and software developers on new instrument and consumable products.

You will partner with technical leads to align priorities, manage risks, and keep schedules and budgets on track, while leveraging AI tools to accelerate planning and information synthesis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, chemistry, biology, or related life sciences.
• 5+ years in new product or technology development at a Life Sciences company.
• 2+ years leading a program as the lead program manager.
• Manage programs from early exploratory research to late development.
• Experience coordinating with biologists, engineers, chemists, and computational scientists.
• Adoption of AI tools as part of day-to-day work.
• Clear communication across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional program teams to define scope, schedule, and budget.
• Partner with technical leads to establish priorities, risks, resources, and timelines.
• Drive day-to-day program work and resolve issues using PM tools.
• Lead program communications and phase approvals for stakeholders.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate planning and synthesize complex information.
• Improve program management workflows and communication processes.
• Note: this is not an IT or SW project management position.
