Job summary

10x Genomics seeks an outstanding Program Manager for the 10X R&D team in Pleasanton. You will lead cross-functional teams of biologists, chemists, engineers, and data scientists to define scope, schedule, and budget for new products, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders.

You will drive program priorities with technical leads, manage risks and resources, and use AI tools to accelerate planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, biology, or related life science.
5+ years in new product or technology development at a Life Sciences company, with 2+ years as lead program manager.
Experience managing programs across early exploratory research to late-stage development.
Experience coordinating with biologists, engineers, chemists, computational scientists.
Demonstrated adoption of AI tools (e.g., Claude, Asana) in day-to-day work.

Responsibilities

Serve as Program Manager on 10x R&D teams, leading cross-functional groups to define scope, schedule, and budget for scientific and business results.
Work with technical leads to manage priorities, risks, resources, and schedules.
Drive and track day-to-day program work using modern PM tools and techniques.
Lead program communications and phase reviews with diverse audiences.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate planning and establish best practices for AI-assisted PM.
