Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Senior Project Manager, R&D to lead cross-functional initiatives spanning digital health, connected devices, and software delivery. You will shape how work gets done within a growing team, improve execution, and provide structure, visibility, and alignment across multiple workstreams.

You will partner with engineering, product, marketing, customer-facing teams, and other functions to manage dependencies, risks, and priorities while driving results without direct authority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• 6+ years of professional experience, including demonstrated project management experience leading complex projects.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex, cross-functional R&D projects and digital product workstreams from planning through execution.
• Own project scope, schedules, milestones, and dependencies with integrated plans.
• Manage concurrent workstreams, resources, and dependencies across teams.
• Identify risks early and determine mitigation and escalation.
• Drive clarity in ambiguous situations and maintain momentum toward milestones.
• Influence stakeholders across functions without direct authority.
• Build scalable PM processes and improve execution.
• Facilitate planning, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
• Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and decisions to leadership.
• Support budgeting and capacity planning.
• Apply Agile practices to a fast-paced digital product environment.
• Foster collaboration and constructive problem-solving.
