Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Senior Project Manager, R&D, to lead complex, cross-functional programs spanning digital health, connected devices, and software delivery. You will drive planning, execution, and governance, partnering with engineering, product, marketing, and customer teams to align priorities and ensure timely delivery.

You will help shape how work gets done in a growing team, improve execution, and build scalable processes to move programs forward while managing risks and dependencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• 6+ years of professional experience leading complex projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing results.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid project management.
• Experience with digital products or software development.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple cross-functional R&D projects from planning through execution.
• Own scope, schedules, milestones, and dependencies with integrated plans.
• Manage concurrent workstreams and visible dependencies.
• Identify risks and determine mitigation and escalation.
• Foster clarity and accountability in ambiguous situations.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to plan effectively.
• Influence stakeholders across functions without direct authority.
• Improve project management processes and scalable practices.
• Facilitate planning, scoping workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
• Communicate status, risks, and decisions to teams and leadership.
• Assist resource and budget planning with functional leaders.
• Apply Agile practices to a fast-paced digital product environment.
• Build a collaborative environment for teams to raise concerns.
