Our team is expanding, and we are hiring a Product Engineer for the Research and Development Fiber Cable Engineering group in Claremont, NC. This engineering team offers innovation and support for various fiber cable families, including Premises, Indoor/Outdoor, and Outdoor Fiber cables. The role also involves collaboration with multiple functional groups such as Product Management, Field Application Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Quality.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related technical engineering field (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
2. Experience in the fiber optic cable manufacturing industry, specifically with the design and manufacturing of fiber ribbons and ribbon fiber cables.
3. 5+ years of relevant experience.
4. Strong safety and quality principles knowledge.
5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
6. Creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to coordinate development work with manufacturing personnel.
8. Capability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
9. Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
10. Professional and assertive communication skills.
11. Willingness to travel up to 10% within the U.S.
