Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company in Glenview is seeking candidates for multiple product development roles to guide and execute projects across North America R&D teams. You will drive technical initiatives and apply scientific principles to new situations, managing multiple tasks with minimal guidance in a collaborative setting.

Ideal candidates bring a technical background, strong communication, and the ability to develop formulations, conduct shelf-life studies, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field relevant to food product development.
• Strong understanding of DOE, food chemistry, analytical testing, and formulations.
• Experience with dairy products is a plus; good communication and critical thinking skills.
• Self-starter, able to multitask, and capable of prioritizing work.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%; internship or co-op experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bench top experiments in the lab.
• Test new products for flavor, texture, color, nutrition content, shelf-life, and standards.
• Lead Pilot Plant and Product Plant scale-up of formulas.
• Create formulations, shelf-life studies, and document product specs.
• Develop and commercialize new products, renovate existing ones, evaluate ingredients, and deliver cost savings.
• Collaborate with Packaging, Quality, Operations, Project Management, Marketing, and Sales to drive projects.
• Support feasibility assessments, prototype development, costing, recipe documentation, and initial factory production support.
