Job summary

Ingredion is seeking a Process Innovation & Development Intern for summer 2027 in Bridgewater, NJ. The role supports a defined research project on nature-based ingredient processing, including unit operations, parameter optimization, and pilot-scale product scale-up.

You will perform lab and pilot trials, analyze data, and prepare final pilot quantities for internal and customer evaluations. The ideal candidate is an undergrad in Chemical Engineering or related field with lab and/or pilot plant

Qualifications

• Undergrad college student pursuing Chemical Engineering or related field with lab and/or pilot plant skills.
• Ability to work safely in a laboratory and pilot plant environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written technical communication skills (presentations and reports).
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Reliable transportation to facility each workday.

Responsibilities

• Operate laboratory equipment safely to support project needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment following GMPs and safety guidelines.
• Conduct literature searches and summarize outcomes in a report.
• Present project status and results to team and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with peers in lab and pilot plant; communicate with project teams.
