Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated is seeking a Starch Chemistry Intern for summer 2027 in Bridgewater, NJ, onsite. You will support a defined research project on starch modification and characterization, running lab and pilot trials, analyzing data, and helping scale up new products for internal and customer evaluation.

The ideal candidate is an undergrad in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with lab experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work safely in lab and pilot plant settings.

Qualifications

• Undergrad student pursuing Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with lab and/or pilot plant skills.
• Ability to work safely in a lab and pilot plant environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written technical communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Perform lab/pilot plant experiments, data analysis, and interpret results to inform project team.
• Search literature, patents, and current technology related to projects if needed.
• Summarize outcomes in appropriate reports.
• Record data in ELN and data archives; maintain data organization.
