Work with a process engineering team, design and execute experiments in the laboratory and pilot plant, and evaluate potential processing changes for new products and equipment. We seek sophomores or juniors in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with strong time management and comfort in lab, pilot plant, and plant environments.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or Junior standing in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with coursework
• Comfort working in laboratory, pilot plant and plant environments
• Strong time-management and flexibility for varied hours

Responsibilities

• Partner with scientists, engineers, and technicians to complete multiple projects, analyze data, and present results to leadership.
• Apply engineering principles to design and conduct experiments on pilot scale manufacturing equipment and analytical instruments.
• Interface with equipment suppliers and cross-functional partners to achieve project goals.
• Develop foundational knowledge as an engineer in the food industry, focusing on process optimization and product attributes.
