Georgia-Pacific, LLC is seeking an R&D Process Engineer to lead supplier onboarding, equipment installation, and process development for the Mailers division. Based at Norcross, GA with 50-75% travel, you will collaborate across sites to optimize converting processes.

The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, performance testing, and translating learnings into actionable insights for multiple sites and commercial teams within the GP Innovation Institute.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering (or related engineering discipline).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data-presentation tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Power BI, etc.).
• Experience with data analysis and/or statistical software (JMP, SAS, etc.).
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% based on project needs.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the technical lead for evaluating, qualifying, and onboarding external suppliers.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of new converting equipment and develop SME on those systems.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase OEE, reduce waste, and lower costs.
• Translate learnings and technology upgrades into actionable insights, and communicate findings to multiple sites and commercial teams.
• Develop and execute experiments to troubleshoot issues and validate process changes.
