Job summary

CITEL is hiring an Electrical Engineer to join our growing R&D team at its Hillsborough, NC facility. This hands-on engineer will contribute to architecture decisions, mentor others, and collaborate with manufacturing, testing, and global R&D teams.

The role focuses on designing power electronic circuits, performing schematic capture and PCB layout, and supporting prototype bring-up and validation in the lab. On-site work in NC is required, with US work authorization mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1+ years of professional electrical or power electronics design experience.
• Robust knowledge of power electronics (AC/DC and/or DC/DC).
• Experience designing robust, reliable circuits with protection features.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools; hands-on lab debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop power electronic circuits and systems, including power supplies and protection circuitry.
• Perform schematic design, component selection, simulation, and PCB layout support.
• Support prototype build, bring-up, debugging, and validation testing in the lab.
• Define and execute electrical test plans to verify performance, reliability, and compliance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing on DFM, DFT, and production ramp.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
