Job summary

Right Hire Consulting LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for on-site energy & power projects in Raleigh, NC. You will lead electrical design teams for utility installations, plant upgrades, and redevelopments, including distributed generation and microgrid projects for varied campuses and facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Or Bachelor of Science in Electrical or related Engineering Technology with FE exam success.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
• Seven years electrical engineering experience, EPC project experience preferred.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI and IEEE standards.
• Experience leading electrical discipline designs for large projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design of projects from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications and data sheets; RFQs; technical bid summaries; purchase recommendations.
• Review vendor drawings; interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, detailers and designers.
• Develop project schedules, scope, budgets, staffing and construction planning.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and provide leadership across the electrical engineering practice.
• Ensure QA/QC and compliance with safety policies; coordinate with field personnel during construction.
• Build relationships with clients and pursue new business opportunities.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)

Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam completed

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (preferred)

Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
