Job summary

Dow is seeking a Junior R&D / Pilot Plant Technician to support safety-focused R&D activities in Freeport, TX and South Charleston, WV. You will operate pilot plant and lab equipment, run experiments, collect data, and help improve processes under experienced supervision.

You should be a self-starter with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills, prepared for a 12-hour rotating shift and US work eligibility. Dow offers extensive benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work legally in the United States with no visa sponsorship.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel and ability to learn new systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to follow established procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor R&D pilot plant and laboratory equipment.
• Perform routine operational and laboratory activities including sampling and data collection.
• Execute experiments and provide results to researchers and engineers.
• Develop familiarity with equipment and troubleshoot routine issues.
• Monitor process conditions and identify deviations for improvement.
• Document, analyze, and report experimental data accurately and timely.
• Adhere to quality assurance and quality control practices.
• Support minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Assist with implementation of new equipment and procedures.
• Contribute to safety, data quality, asset utilization, and productivity goals.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and technicians across sites.
