Mainspring Energy, based in Menlo Park, CA, is hiring an R&D/NPI Buyer, Electrical to lead tactical purchasing for early-stage engineering projects. You will own RFQs, POs, expedites, and supplier onboarding, bridging prototypes to production while coordinating with Quality and shop-floor teams.

The role sits in Strategic Sourcing within SC PM & Cost Engineering, requiring 3+ years in hardware purchasing, ERP/MRP proficiency, and familiarity with electrical components.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of buyer/planner experience in hardware manufacturing, ideally supporting R&D or NPI.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP proficiency with POs and planning data.

Responsabilités

• R&D and prototype purchasing: translate needs into sourcing actions with cost, lead-time, and availability.
• Own end-to-end purchasing for R&D/prototype builds: RFQs, PO placement, expedites.
• Source and onboard quick-turn suppliers and negotiate pricing, NRE, and tooling.
• Plan material for builds and coordinate kitting with shop floor and Quality.
• Support prototype-to-production transition and EC execution with suppliers.
