Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – R&D to lead advanced mechanical design and documentation. You will develop detailed designs, ensure technical accuracy, and support project execution with cross‑functional teams and production.

You’ll create and maintain high‑quality design documentation, drive manufacturability, and provide engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Professional mechanical engineer with solid design and documentation experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for advanced part modeling and drawings.
• Experience with electro‑mechanical products and switchgear knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop mechanical designs for parts and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Model complex parts and assemblies meeting manufacturability requirements.
• Create and revise detailed engineering drawings per standards.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Ensure design changes pass through EC system and maintain documentation.
