Job summary

Actalent seeks a leader for its R&D team to guide mechanical design efforts, creating 3D designs, detailed documentation, and functional prototypes while coordinating testing across high potential, mechanical operations, and heat rise evaluations.

Candidates should hold a BSME with 1–3+ years in design, be proficient in SolidWorks and steel fabrication, and have exposure to weld symbols and DFx. Preference is given to those pursuing FE certification and PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Requires a BSME and 1-3+ years of mechanical design experience with proficiency in SolidWorks and steel fabrication.
• Preference is given to candidates who have passed the FE Exam and aim to become a Professional Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Lead the R&D team from a process standpoint by creating 3D designs, documentation, and prototypes.
• Conduct various technical tests, including high potential, mechanical operations, and heat rise tests.
