Job summary

Antech Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team in Chesapeake HQ, VA. You will own the mechanical lifecycle from CAD to prototyping and field validation, with travel to rugged environments and opportunities to deploy prototypes and test in real-world conditions. The role requires a U.S.

citizen in the Chesapeake area, capable of obtaining a security clearance and a U.S. passport, and offers a broad benefits package and ESOP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering required.
• Prior experience or exposure to NDT technologies preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create and finalize 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for NDT instruments.
• Prototype and test mechanical designs, including environmental validation.
• Document specifications, BOMs, assembly procedures, and test plans.
• Collaborate with software and NDT engineers to integrate sensors and PCBs.
• Manage vendor relationships and support manufacturing transitions.
